Vacation!

Can you believe it? I got to go on vacation BY MYSELF for 7 days! No kids, no dh. Just me, me, and a little more of me. I spent time with my mom, my sister....her kids and dh, and tons of my friends.




I have known these girls since elementary school! That was over 26 years ago!

As you can see, I have a bit (lol) of a sunburn. My neice (bless her) was kicking sand all over me, and I got distracted. Managed to get sublock on one arm and my face, and forgot the rest of me after I picked all the sand out of my hair. (eek!). So I ended up with 2nd degree burns on my legs (ouch), sun poisoning, and a lovely allergic reaction to it all. Puffy feet, tons of peeling, and a week later, I'm on the mend. But I ignored it as best as I could and enjoyed my vacation amongst pain and puffiness! LOL

I had the best time and half of me wishes I was still there ;). But I missed home a lot, and am glad to be here, too!

Baby it's HOT!

Why is it that on the hottest days is when things go wrong with your car? I'm driving 25 minutes to my favorite fabric store when I feel hot air coming out of my a/c. But only on the drivers side vents. One vent on the passenger side works. I'm trying to move the vent to point to me with a pen, all while trying to stay in my lane. EEK. I'm HOT. I don't do hot well anymore. This poor California girl spent way too many winters in Buffalo NY and is now a big ole baby in the heat. Now granted, us CA girls aren't used to the humidity. So I feel that about this, I can whine freely. :) It's hot and humid, and I need yet another shower.

this of course, did not impede me from spending my hard earned money at the fabric store :D haha!

site where you can make a cool picture with the letters of your name. How fun. I went a little nuts and did the whole family. heehee!! Very fun. You can change each letter until you like it. Try it!

This and That

I've got a fun set up on ebay. This one was so much fun!

Got up at 4am yesterday to take Ty to the airport to spend his summer in Oregon with Sean. He was so excited! Talked my ear off at the airport for 2 hours. lol. He called me at 2pm my time to let me know he got there okay. I could HEAR the smile on his face! He gets to do this every year and gets very excited around April and drives us bonkers until it's time to leave in June. lol

My baby (16) has his first job. He's a cashier at a grocery store :) . He is loving having his own money (after what we make him put in savings of course). Saving up for a Wii :)

All I have to say is WOW!

Coming to an end.....

Well, my little guy's first year of school is coming to an end. Tomorrow is his last day of Kindergarten. He has learned so much, it just amazes me. He could barely tell an A from an I last September. And last night, as we were eating together, he takes out his little magna doodle, and writes Mommy I luve you. Okay, so he's not perfect yet, but you know what.... he is in my eyes :) .
Next year, he gets to ride the bus, eat lunch at school.... stay there all day.... sniff sniff! Wow, where on earth does the time go? Wasn't he just learning how to walk?
